Scope

This standard specifies the general technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of portable gas measuring instruments used in coal mines. This standard applies to portable gas measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as instruments) used in explosive gas environments in coal mines. Gas measuring instruments that are not suitable for the principle of optical interference.
