This standard specifies the methods for the determination of bulk density, particle crush resistance, wear rate, specific surface area, pore volume, and average pore diameter of sulfur tail gas hydrogenation catalysts. This standard applies to sulfur tail gas hydrogenation catalysts with cobalt oxide and molybdenum oxide as the main active components and alumina as the carrier in the Claus sulfur recovery process containing hydrogen sulfide acid gas as the raw material.
