Scope

This standard specifies the test conditions, sampling, test solution preparation, analysis methods, precision and test reports for the determination of soluble chlorides, fluorides, silicates and sodium ions in thermal insulation materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of the above-mentioned dissolved ions in thermal insulation materials covering austenitic stainless steel.
