Scope

8.3 Insulation resistance The insulation resistance shall be measured on the same sample and at the same temperature immediately after completing the test specified in 8.4.2. If separate tests are possible, specimen length, preparation and processing time shall be as specified in 8.4.2. The insulation resistance shall be measured by successively applying a DC voltage of 80 V to 500 V between each conductor and all other connected conductors and metallic sheaths for 1 min. Insulation resistance should be at least 0.03 MΩ·km
