- This standard specifies the dimensions and tolerances of convex electrode caps for resistance spot welding. The axial taper of the electrode cap enables the electrode cap to be fixed to the internally tapered electrode connector and to the electrode holder. This standard is applicable to convex electrode caps for resistance spot welding under general conditions of use. This standard is used in conjunction with JB/T 9959-1999 "Electrode Connector with Internal Taper 1:10 for Resistance Spot Welding". Note: The maximum electrode pressure Fmax of the convex electrode cap specified in this standard should not exceed 4kN.
