- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for silicon nitride electric heating elements for household and similar electric heating appliances. This standard applies to electric heating elements with AC and DC working voltages not exceeding 480V. This standard is applicable to situations where the surrounding environment is free of flammable, explosive and conductive dust and there is no obvious mechanical impact.
