Scope

This section applies to series gap metal oxide arresters designed to limit overvoltage in 3kV ~ 35kV AC power systems. In this section, special considerations should be made in the design, testing and use of composite jackets, liquid immersed arresters and other specially designed arresters. The test requirements and test methods should refer to the provisions of the corresponding standards.
