Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions and tolerances of resistance spot welding electrode joints when the taper fastening within the convex electrode cap and the electrode taper comply with JB/T 3957-1999 "Electrode taper matching dimensions of spot welding equipment". This standard applies to electrode joints with an internal taper of 1:10 for resistance spot welding. This standard is used in conjunction with JB/T 9960-1999 "Protruding Electrode Cap for Resistance Spot Welding".
