- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage and transportation requirements for power frequency diesel generator sets composed of reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines, alternating current (AC) generators, control devices and auxiliary equipment. This standard applies to generator sets with a range of 0.5kV to 3150kW, a rated frequency of 50Hz, and a diesel engine. The 60Hz unit can be used as a reference.
