- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings and quality certificates for marine structural steel forgings. This standard is applicable to the manufacturing and acceptance of forgings such as carbon structural steel, carbon-manganese structural steel, alloy structural steel, stainless acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant and non-flaking steel, which are free forged on marine hammers (including membrane forging).
