- This standard specifies the classification principles, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and delivery conditions for steel die forgings for marine main and auxiliary engines. This standard applies to hot forgings of marine main and auxiliary engine structural steel formed on die forging equipment such as die forging hammers, hot die forging presses, screw presses, and flat forging machines. Other marine steel die forgings can also be used as a reference. This standard applies to forgings with a weight not exceeding 250 kg and a maximum size not exceeding 2 500 mm.
