This standard specifies the method for the determination of oxygen isotopes by the C02-H2O equilibrium method. This standard applies to the determination of oxygen isotopes in general groundwater. Alkaline water samples must be acidified first. Water samples with high salinity should be vacuum distilled in advance to eliminate the influence of salt on the measurement results. The accuracy of this method is ±0.2‰.
