Scope

This standard specifies the principles, basic requirements and radiation monitoring technology for environmental radiation monitoring in nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to nuclear power plant operating units performing environmental radiation monitoring tasks, and operating units conducting background investigations before the operation of nuclear power plants. This standard does not apply to the preparation of environmental radiation monitoring plans for decommissioned nuclear power plants.
