Scope

This standard specifies the method for determination of chemical oxygen demand by alkaline permanganate oxidation method. This standard is applicable to the determination of chemical oxygen demand in unpolluted or slightly contaminated groundwater with a chloride ion content exceeding 300mg/L. The measurement results are expressed as oxygen mass concentration. The measurement range is 0.4~4g/LCOD.
