- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the wear resistance of the outer covering of rubber hoses. This standard is mainly used for hydraulic hoses and other similar types of hoses with a fabric or steel wire reinforcement layer and an outer coating with a smooth and flat surface. This standard is not used to predict the wear life of products, but is suitable for comparing the quality levels of products. This standard does not specify the number of cycles that should be completed for each test. This imaginary number is specified in the corresponding product standard.
