- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and other requirements for mercury vapor cold atomic absorption mercury analyzers. This standard applies to cold atomic absorption mercury analyzers in which mercury vapor strongly absorbs optical radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm. That is, mercury vapor cold atomic absorption mercury meter (hereinafter referred to as the instrument). It is the common technical basis for the design, manufacture, inspection and use of such instruments and the formulation of corresponding product standards.
