- This standard specifies the titration method for the determination of carbonate, bicarbonate and hydroxide ions. This standard is applicable to the determination of carbonate, bicarbonate, and hydroxide ions in groundwater. The lower detection limits are: carbonate and bicarbonate 5 mg/L, and hydroxide 2 mg/L.
