Scope
This standard specifies the design and selection criteria, general requirements and methods for calibration and inspection of process flow radiation monitoring equipment that is permanently installed and continuously operated in light water reactor nuclear power plants. This standard applies to process flow radiation monitoring equipment used in fixed light water reactor nuclear power plants under normal operating conditions and expected operating events. This standard does not apply to process flow radiation monitoring equipment used under accident conditions, nor to liquid, gaseous and airborne radioactive exhaust flow radiation monitoring equipment used during normal operating conditions, anticipated operating events and accidents.
