This standard specifies the method for the determination of zinc by catalytic polarography. This standard is applicable to the determination of zinc in groundwater. The minimum detection volume is 0.1ug, and its measurement range is 0.005~lmg/L. Generally common elements do not interfere with the determination. A large amount of iron, aluminum and tellurium greater than 50ug/L will seriously interfere with the determination. Generally, the aluminum content in groundwater is very small and does not reach the level of interference. When the iron content in the water is large, a small amount of ferrotitanium reagent can be added to eliminate the effect.
