This standard specifies the method for the determination of vanadium by catalytic polarography. This standard applies to the determination of vanadium in groundwater. The minimum detection volume is 0.01ug, and the optimal detection range is 0.4~12.Oug/L. Since iron, aluminum and copper-iron reagents precipitate in acetic acid-sodium acetate solution, they adsorb vanadium and interfere with the determination. Adding hydrogen fluoride before adding copper and iron reagents can eliminate the interference of 100ug iron and aluminum in the sample.
