Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of lithium by flame emission spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of lithium in groundwater. The minimum detection concentration is 1.2ug/L, and the measurement range is 0.01~1.Omg/L lithium. Other alkali metals interfere, so a certain amount of potassium salt and sodium salt can be added to the standard series. Alkaline earth metals strontium, barium, and calcium interfere with the determination. For example, the SrOH 670nm molecular band is close to the lithium 670.8nm line, causing interference. It is advisable to precipitate and remove it, or use ion exchange method to separate lithium from it.
