- This standard specifies the accelerated aging test criteria and methods for electrical components and equipment in nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to the accelerated aging test for quality identification of safety-level (IE-level) electrical components and equipment in nuclear power plants. Safety-related electrical items should also be used with reference. This standard does not apply to material aging tests and radiation aging tests.
