Scope

The standard specifies the specimens, test equipment, performance measurement, test result processing, and test reports for metal notch tensile tests. This standard is applicable to the determination of notched tensile strength σbH, notched tensile sensitivity coefficient qt, and the ratio of notched tensile strength σbH to σpo.2 at 15 to 30°C. High temperature or low temperature notch tensile test may refer to this standard.
