- This standard specifies the specimens, testing machines, test conditions and test procedures, test result evaluation, and test reports for metal wire torsion testing. This standard is suitable for measuring the plastic deformation ability of metal wires with a diameter or characteristic size not larger than 10 mm when twisted in a fixed direction at room temperature (15~30°C) to check for metal unevenness and surface and fracture defects.
