Scope

This standard specifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties, test methods and acceptance rules of K405 alloy. This standard applies to K405 alloy ingots smelted and cast in vacuum induction furnaces. This alloy is used to make turbine blades and other parts that withstand high temperatures in gas turbine engines that operate below 950°C.
