Scope

This specification specifies the general requirements for the canopy emergency release system (hereinafter referred to as the release system) used by aircraft in emergency situations in the air, on the ground or underwater. This specification applies to fixed-wing single-seat and multi-seat fighters, attack aircraft, trainers and fighter-bombers that use ejection seats or rocket tractors as life-saving equipment.
