- This standard is applicable to the deep drawing test of metal plates with thickness ranging from 0.45 to 2.5 mm to test the deep drawing (or cup punching) forming performance of metal plates and strips. This standard includes two optional test methods: the step-by-step test method and the maximum load method. The step-by-step test method of this standard is specified with reference to the international deep drawing test standards recommended by the International Deep Drawing Society Group (IDDRG).
