- This standard specifies the specimens, testing machines, test fixtures, test procedures, test result processing and test reports for rivet and wire shear test methods. This standard is suitable for measuring the shear strength of rivets and metal wires with a diameter of not more than 10 mm using a double shear test at room temperature (10~30°C). When the sample length is not enough, a single shear test can be performed.
