Scope

This standard applies to magnetic chip detectors (hereinafter referred to as detectors) and magnetic chip detection annunciators (hereinafter referred to as detection annunciators) installed in aerospace engines, reducer lubrication systems and aircraft hydraulic systems. For certain types of detectors and detection signals, special technical conditions are formulated based on this standard.
