- This standard applies to internal red light illumination instruments using incandescent lamps as the light source in aircraft cockpits. It specifies the general technical requirements and inspection and test methods for internal red light illumination of instruments. Other technical requirements (such as environmental conditions, electrical performance, etc.) and inspection and test methods for the internal lighting device of the instrument shall be inspected and tested at the same time as the instrument according to the provisions of HB6-76-76 "General Technical Conditions for Aviation Instruments".
