- This standard specifies the test method for the fatigue rated strength cutoff value of metallic material details, including symbols, terms, definitions, specimens, test equipment, test procedures, test results and data processing, and test reports. This standard applies to the determination of the detail fatigue rating strength cutoff value (DFRcutoff) of metallic materials. This value is used for material fatigue resistance evaluation, process selection and structural detail design. This standard does not apply when the number of cycles is less than 5000 or when the maximum stress exceeds 50% of the ultimate tensile strength of the material.
