- This standard specifies the chemical composition and mechanical properties of K406C (K6C) alloy ingots and other technical requirements, inspection rules and test methods, as well as marking, packaging and quality certificates. This standard applies to K406C (K6C) nickel-based cast high-temperature alloy ingots smelted and cast in vacuum induction furnaces. This alloy is used to make integral turbine guides, turbine blades, guide vanes and other high-temperature parts for aero engines that operate at around 850°C.
