- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, storage and safety requirements for calcium cyanamide used in industry and agriculture. This standard applies to calcium cyanamide produced by the nitridation reaction of calcium carbide and nitrogen. This product is used in industry to make chemical raw materials such as cyanide melt and dicyandiamide, and in agriculture it is used as an alkaline slow-acting nitrogen-containing fertilizer.
