- This standard specifies a method for the determination of the viscosity drop of cellulose acetate during molding. The decrease in viscosity during molding is related to the depolymerization of cellulose acetate, which often increases the brittleness of the molded product. This standard applies to cellulose acetate without additives, fillers, etc., whose presence will affect the determination of viscosity. This standard applies to cellulose acetate with an acetic acid value above 50%.
