Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) monitors for idle exhaust pollutant monitoring of gasoline vehicles and engines (including cars and motorcycles). This standard applies to non-dispersive infrared CO and HC exhaust monitors for idling emissions monitoring of gasoline vehicles.
