Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of thermal fluid-400 (biphenyl-diphenyl ether mixture). This standard applies to eutectic mixtures prepared by mixing biphenyl and diphenyl ether. The mass ratio of biphenyl to diphenyl ether is 26.5:73.5. This product is mainly used as high temperature heat transfer fluid.
