- This standard applies to flash point measurement instruments for rapid equilibrium methods of paints, varnishes, chemical reagents, petroleum and related products. This standard refers to the international standard ISO 3679-1983 "Quick Equilibrium Method for Determination of Flash Point of Paints, Varnishes, Petroleum and Related Products" and the national standard GB 5208-85 "Quick Equilibrium Method for Determination of Flash Point of Coatings and Related Products" for instrument testing.
