Scope

This standard specifies a test method for the determination of the refractive index of precipitated hydrated silica using an Abbe refractometer. This standard is applicable to the determination of the refractive index of various types of precipitated hydrated silica, as well as the determination of the refractive index of other light-colored fillers.
