Scope

This standard specifies the measurement of the melt viscosity of hot melt adhesives at 180°C. Other test temperatures can also be agreed upon as needed. This standard uses a Brookfield single-cylinder rotary viscometer and a sleeve rotary viscometer to measure the melt viscosity of hot-melt adhesives according to different sample sizes. The melt viscosity measured by this standard can reach a maximum of 200 Pa·s.
