1.0.1 In order to ensure that the design of pipe racks, pipe corridors and pipe piers of chemical and petrochemical production equipment meet the requirements of technological advancement, economical rationality, safety and reliability, and ensuring production, these regulations are specially formulated. 1.0.2 These regulations are formulated in compliance with the principles and regulations of the current national building structure design standards and specifications and combined with the characteristics of the pipe frame structure. 1.0.3 This regulation applies to the design of pipe racks, pipe corridors and pipe piers commonly used in large and medium-sized chemical and petrochemical production equipment in areas with earthquake intensity of 8 degrees and below. It can also be used as a reference for the pipe racks of certain production devices in metallurgy, electric power, light industry, textile and other related industries. 1.0.4 When implementing these regulations, the relevant requirements in the current relevant national standards and specifications should also be observed. 1.0.5 The design of pipe racks should strive to reduce duplication of work. Priority should be given to the general atlas of reinforced concrete series pipe racks and the general atlas of H-shaped steel structure series pipe racks compiled by the chemical and petrochemical industries.
