Scope

This standard is applicable to the reliability qualification test and reliability acceptance test of radio equipment of satellite communication earth stations that use mean time between failures (MTBF) as an indicator and whose expected life obeys an exponential distribution or is reasonably believed to obey an exponential distribution. This standard does not apply to reliability growth tests.
