Scope
This standard specifies the general rules that should be followed when conducting ultrasonic longitudinal wave direct flaw detection with the ultrasonic probe in direct contact with the object to be inspected. When using the contact ultrasonic pulse echo method for longitudinal wave direct flaw detection, a probe using a single pressure chip is usually used to emit high-frequency ultrasonic pulses. Vertical injection of appropriate coupling agent into the material being inspected. When there is a reflector (including defects and other objects that can reflect ultrasonic waves) inside the material, the ultrasonic energy is reflected back from there, received by the probe, and converted into an electrical pulse signal. After being amplified by the electronic instrument, it is displayed on the light screen as Pulse wave form is displayed. According to the presence or absence of ultrasonic echo, the amplitude of the echo and the range in which the echo occurs, the presence, depth, position and size of the reflector can be judged. According to the amplitude of back wave weakening, defects and material attenuation can also be judged.
