- This standard specifies the basic tooth form, diameter and pitch series, basic dimensions, tolerances and fits, thread markings, and deviation tables of short threads for optical instruments. This standard is applicable to short threads with a nominal diameter of 8 to 160 mm for focusing of optical instruments and fixed connections between thin-walled parts.
