Scope

This standard establishes a method for determining the mass fraction of hydrogen sulfide, methyl and ethyl mercaptans in oil in the range from 2.0 to 200 million-1 (ppm, µg/g), as well as methyl and ethyl mercaptans in total. The method can be used to determine the mass fraction of hydrogen sulfide, methyl and ethyl mercaptans in gas condensates and light hydrocarbon fractions
