Scope
This standard specifies the design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance requirements for aluminum welded vessels (including shells and other components that are all-aluminum and aluminum-lined vessels). This standard applies to normal pressure vessels and pressure vessels with a design pressure not greater than 8MPa. The applicable design temperature range of this standard is determined according to the allowable use temperature of aluminum materials. This standard does not apply to the following types of vessels: a) Vessels heated directly by flame; b) Vessels in nuclear energy installations; c) Pressure chambers that are components of rotating or reciprocating mechanical equipment (such as centrifugal pump casings , reciprocating pump cylinder, compressor cylinder, refrigerator cylinder, blower casing, centrifuge drum, etc.); d) Frequently transported containers; e) Inner diameter (for non-circular cross-sections, refers to the width, height or Containers whose diagonal lines (e.g. rectangle is the diagonal line and ellipse is the long axis) are less than 150mm; f) Containers that are required to be invalidated for analysis. For pressure components whose structural dimensions cannot be determined using this standard, the following methods are allowed to be designed, but must be evaluated and approved by the National Pressure Vessel Standardization Technical Committee:  ——Stress analysis including the finite element method;  ——Confirmatory testing Analysis (such as test stress analysis, confirmatory hydraulic test);  ——Comparative empirical design using comparable structures that have been put into use.
