- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for microform reading and copying machines. This standard is applicable to reading and copying machines for transparent microforms such as 16mm and 35mm bar films, microfilm rolls, microfilms, envelope films, window cards, etc. with a magnification not exceeding X50. This standard does not apply to purely productive equipment such as enlarging copiers, nor to reading copiers that produce color or other special types of copies.
