- This standard refers to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Publication 785 (1984) Rotating Electric Machines for Electric Road Vehicles. This standard specifies the basic technical requirements for DC motor products for battery vehicles. This standard applies to electric industrial vehicles powered by main traction batteries and DC motors (traction motors and auxiliary motors) used in electric vehicles. If the motor is used under special environmental conditions, it should also comply with the requirements of corresponding standards or regulations.
