- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation requirements for diesel engine generator set switchgear. This standard applies to applications with a rated frequency of 50Hz (including 60Hz), a rated voltage not higher than 500V, a rated power factor of 0.8 (lag) for three phases, 0.9 (lag) or 1.0 for a single phase, and a diesel engine as the prime mover (also applicable to Other internal combustion engines) and indoor diesel generators with various excitation modes form a set of switchgear.
