- Scope
- This standard covers the minimum requirements for centrifugal compressors used in the petroleum, chemical and gas industries for conveying air or gases. It is not suitable for ventilators and blowers with a pressure boost lower than 34kPa (51b/in^(2)); ventilators and blowers can adopt API 673 standards. This standard also does not apply to the "integrated gear speed-increasing assembly type centrifugal air compressor" referred to by API 672. Note: The (●) point before each section indicates that the buyer should make a decision or provide more detailed information. These information should be filled in the data sheet (see Appendix A), otherwise it should be noted on the inquiry or order form.
