- This standard specifies the grade indication method, technical requirements and inspection rules for self-hardening furan resins for casting. This standard is applicable to self-hardening (core) sand binders for castings that are synthesized with sugar alcohol as the main raw material, supplemented with formaldehyde, phenol or urea, and can be acid-catalyzed.
